Mason Greenwood was abandoned by Roberto de Zerbi after the director of Marseille admitted that he was not impressed by the Englishman.
The former Prospect of Manchester United has had a productive season for French giants so far, scoring 15 goals in 24 games to emerge as one of the players outside Ligue 1.
That said, Greenwood remains a much less influential asset with regard to the open game from Marseille, especially with regard to its defensive functions.
And although he scored three goals in his last five appearances, his final prowess did not spare him to be chopped with the start programming of Marseille for the shock of Saturday evening against RC’s objective, a few days after Zerbi’s manager castigated his Tenne performances.
While reiterating his joy at having at his disposal Greenwood, the former boss of Brighton underlined his dissatisfaction with the player last week.

“ Otherwise, we, as a train, always fall back into the same diagram: a very good match, then a defeat in Auxerre, then a victory against Nantes … It’s too irregular, it’s like waves. And that’s something I don’t like.
Greenwood ended up showing up against Lens, leaving the bench while his team was looking for a winner.
