Maryland’s transfer goalkeeper Ja’kobi Gillespie is committed to Maryland

Maryland transfer guard Ja’kobi Gillespie Engaged in Tennessee basketball, a major addition of one of the highest rated guards of the NCAA transfer portal while flights reconstruct their rear area. Gillespie announced on Friday commitment on social networks.

Gillespie began the 36 games in Maryland this season, with an average of 14.7 points and 4.8 assists in 31.6 minutes per match while pulling 45.3% of the soil and 40.7% of the line of 3 points, where he made 87 of the 214 attempts.

Gillespie, from Greeneville, tenn., Played his first two university basketball seasons in Belmont, with an average of 12.9 points, 3.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 interceptions in 26.2 minutes per match, starting 32 times in 57 games with Bruins.

He collected on average 17.2 points, 4.2 assists and 2.2 interceptions in 31.4 minutes per game in second year in 2023-24, starting 24 times in 25 games.

Jon Rothstein reported on Wednesday that Gillespie also received the interest of Kentucky, North Carolina, Maryland and Villanova. Gillespie entered the NCAA transfer portal after the former Maryland coach Kevin Willard left for Villanova. Maryland hired the former Texas A&M coach Buzz Williams Tuesday.
