However, Marvel Snap fans were surprised on the evening of January 18 when they went to play the game and it was no longer available. Marvel Snap has been officially removed from the various App Stores and is no longer playable in the United States. At the moment it can still be acquired on Steam, but we expect it to be removed soon. Marvel Snap is unplayable on Steam anyway. The reason for Marvel Snap The ban is because the developer, Nuverse, is owned by ByteDance, the owners of TikTok. In case you missed it, TikTok has also been banned in the United States due to national security concerns. Chinese company ByteDance has been offered an ultimatum by the United States to sell its various properties to American entities or risk being shut down in the country. Unfortunately, ByteDance has not moved and TikTok, Marvel Snapand a few other apps have been shut down for now in the United States. However, this is all expected to be temporary and things could return as early as next week.
TikTok said it was working with President-elect Donald Trump to find a solution to unblock the apps. Trump will be inaugurated Monday, January 20, and he is expected to begin work on an extension for ByteDance to avoid a ban almost immediately.
