Marvel Rivals, the upcoming hero shooter from NetEase Games, is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Previously announced for PC, Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play 6v6 PvP game with 19 characters.
In addition to the console announcement, a closed beta will take place on all platforms in July 2024.
Announced during State of Play 2024, Marvel Rivals is an anticipated multiplayer game that we’ve covered extensively here on IGN. It also attracted some criticism when a stipulation in the contract prevented influencers from reviewing the game.
Nonetheless, it has attracted a lot of attention for its promise of ever-changing battlefields and its roster, which includes characters from Spider-Man to Doctor Doom. New characters announced at the event include Venom and Adam Warlock.
Marvel Rivals was one of several announcements made during Thursday’s State of Play, which also included a new look at the Silent Hill 2 remake, Monster Hunter Wilds, and more. You can read everything announced here.
