MARVEL RIVALS Closed Beta Test for Consoles and PC Announced with SDCC 2024 Attendance

We still don’t have a release date for NetEase Marvel’s RivalsBut the game seems to be progressing well as the developer has announced plans to hold a closed beta test. Like the previous closed alpha test, which was exclusive to PC users in North America, the beta will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in North America, Europe, and Asia.

The closed beta program will begin on July 23 and run through August 5. During this time, anyone invited to participate will be able to experience the superhero team-based PvP shooter that features two opposing squads of heroes and villains from across the Marvel multiverse.

The beta will include all previously revealed characters, including the two recent additions of Venom and Adam Warlock. Ahead of the beta, NetEase released a trailer showcasing Venom’s abilities.

In addition to the game’s standard modes (Convoy, Domination, and Convergence), the closed beta will feature an in-game event: Galacta’s Quest.

During CBT, complete Galacta’s quests and earn Event XP to unlock a range of rewards. Join Galacta on his extraordinary journey and immerse yourself in the captivating stories of Marvel Rivals. Plus, participants can claim the exclusive Venom costume for the Closed Beta: Cyan Clash! This remarkable reward is available exclusively to CBT players. Just make sure to use the same account when Marvel Rivals officially launches to claim it.

Registration for the closed beta test is now open on PlayStation and Xbox. All you have to do is fill out a simple questionnaire that asks about your gaming habits. PC users will have to wait until July 20 to request access to the beta under the Marvel’s Rivals Steam Store Page. A special preview of the closed beta will be hosted by NetEase on July 22 at 8:00 PM PT.

In Marvel Rivals, players will be able to choose heroes from three distinct roles based on their unique power inclinations: Vanguard, Duelist and Strategist. They will be free to choose their preferred role and hero, teaming up with allies to create a versatile and dynamic team for battle. But that’s not all, as they will be able to reach a whole new level of team collaboration with Team Abilities, unleashing shared Super Powers with their allies, destroying the battlefield to win exciting battles!

In addition to the beta, NetEase also announced plans to offer Marvel’s Rivals The game will be showcased at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Two panels are planned for the game: one will focus on story, art, and sound, and the other will be called a “special presentation.” There will also be a community livestream that will feature a full recap of announcements from the events.

This panel will be moderated by Ryan Penagos (VP ​​and Creative Director of Digital Marketing) as the teams dive into the game’s story, art, and sound design. Marvel Rivals Special Presentation
