The legendary F1 commentator laughed nervously after being frightened by sputtering from the engine of Lewis Hamilton’s car.

After landing interviews with popstar Camilla Cabello, beauty entrepreneur Charlotte Tilbury as well as Mercedes chief Toto Wolff’s wife Suzie, Brundle turned his attention to the car on the grid.

It was while analyzing the rear of Hamilton’s Mercedes, starting from eighth place, that Brundle lost his composure for a very brief moment.

Brundle began: “Those are the lights you see flashing…”

That’s when Brundle jumped and laughed nervously after nearly flipping into the vehicle.

But ever the professional, Brundle continued: “It backfired and almost took me away.

“It’s the lights that flash during the harvest or in the rain. Fortunately, it hit me in the knee and not elsewhere, this Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.”
