Martha’s Vineyard’ after two seasons

Bravo took a break Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard after two seasons, Deadline has learned.

The reality series was not canceled, but a third season was not allowed this year after two consecutive years.

Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard wrapped up its second season on Sunday, May 26, after a reunion special hosted by Andy Cohen. The cast fought to reunite after its second year on the air because they had a lot to resolve.

Bravo brought the cast together, bringing them together at Watch what’s happening live! clubhouse to broadcast their drama.

The series’ current cast included Nicholas “Nick” Arrington, Jasmine Ellis Cooper, Jordan Emanuel, Bria Fleming, Shanice Henderson, Amir Lancaster, Preston Mitchum, Summer Marie Thomas, Alex Tyree and Noelle Hughly.

Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard follows a group of young black professionals vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and one of the first seaside destinations where African Americans could vacation and purchase property.

The spin-off is based on Summer house format, set in the Hamptons, following New York City professionals renting a house to party every weekend throughout the summer.

Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard isn’t the only reality series that Bravo has recently put on hiatus. Earlier this year, the network revealed that Winter house would not film a fourth season. The show followed various Bravolebrities from shows like Summer house, Vanderpump RulesAnd Under the bridge as they came together and shared a home in the winter.

Another show that is not produced during its usual filming schedule is Vanderpump Rules. Bravo has put season 12 on hiatus after “Scandoval”, it is unclear if and when the series will return.

A show on hiatus doesn’t always mean it’s canceled forever. An example of a show being paused and returned is The Real Housewives of Miami. The reality series aired for three seasons on Bravo before its long hiatus, which began in 2013. Peacock is resurrected RHOM in 2021 for season 4, and the series moved to Bravo for season 6.

Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard oldest brother, Summer househas already been renewed for season 9, with the current season 8 seeing record audiences.
