Marquez prolongs the victory sequence at Austin Sprint after the wild fear of the first touch

Marc Marquez has extended his sequence of MotoGP victories in the sprint in his beloved circuit of the Americas – but only after having crashed during an electrifying opening tour.

This led to what was ultimately the fifth 1-2 marquez of the season, Marc now leading Alex in the 19-point championship.

The eldest Marquez had kept his head out of the line, but briefly gave it to a daring challenge of Turn 1 by Pecco Bagnaia, who rushed first in the interior on the corner up after starting only sixth.

Marc quickly responded around the outside of turn 2, but Bagnaia succeeded in another attack in turn 3 – before giving in to another counterattack further in the “snake section”.

But there was even more drama to come. A massive rear shift in the turn 17 for Marc, who came to so much couple to break his victories sequence, allowed Bagnaia and Alex Marquez, but these two then fought in the bend 19 and the two ran widely the door was opened so that Marquez takes over.

This meant that after all, he led the first round, and he then led all the other tours, despite what looked like temporary signs of a challenge by his brother in the first half of the 10 -round race.

Bagnaia had no response again for the early pace of the Marquez, then worked to consolidate the third, having suffered a surprise pressure from a booming Fabio Quartararo. Soon, however, the Yamaha man was forced to safeguard in turn 15, which removed him from Bagnaia and at the heart of an intra-team heated VR46.

This sparkled for a large part of the race, with Fabio Di Giannantonio who finally prevails over Franco Morbidelli and Quartararo to save fourth place – having abandoned his chance better with a less than optimal opening tower from the middle of the first row.

Pedro Acosta was the main KTM in seventh, fighting Maverick Vinales before the latter left the stands with a still inspected problem.

Acosta was as high as fourth on the first round, but made a 12 -round error, then could never recover when the rhythm of the KTM disappointed again.

In fact, the seventh flattered its race – because it came after the crushing of Joan Mir all forward. Mir’s Honda Factory’s teammate Luca Marini rather directed the manufacturer’s efforts to the eighth.

Acosta’s teammate, Brad Binder, was ninth at the start of the last round, but ended at the bottom in 12th place, with the recruit APRILIA, Ai Ogura, the Trackhouse Ai Ogura stops the final point proposed instead.
