Marmot day: Punxsutawney Phil to make predictions at the end of winter or early spring

If this is the first time that you have heard the forecast of the Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania Marmotte Philmotte; You probably have a lot of questions.

So who is exactly the groundhog, the myth, the legend?

According to the PunxSutawney Groundhog Club, created in 1886, Phil has been providing his predictions for over a century now.

The lifespan of a groundhog in the wild is about six years, but an “elixir of life” is regularly administered to Phil to keep it “immortal”.

There is, allegedly, only one Phil.

Phil has a family and recently became a new father with his wife Phyllis carrying him two puppies last spring named Sunny and Shadow.
