Mark Zuckerberg defends the embrace of the Trump administration in Meta employees and answers

In a major question and answer session with Meta-Employed on Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg, director general of the company, defended the recent changes he had brought to the restrictions on online speeches and End of diversity initiatives, and doubled to adopt the new President Trump Trump Administration.

“I want to be clear, after the past few years, we have the possibility of having a productive partnership with the US government,” said Zuckerberg, according to a recording of the meeting shared with the New York Times. “We are going to take this.”

Mr. Zuckerberg, 40, said that he was “fundamental” for Meta – the largest social media company in the world with Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Whatsapp – to be in better terms with governments around the world.

“The government can somehow oppose actively to you, trying to bother yourself and add a lot of friction, or can actively try to help you break the barriers to help you,” he said. “It’s the right thing to do.”

During the one hour meeting with more than 70,000 Meta employees, Mr. Zuckerberg also said that 2025 would be an important year for potentially transformative Meta initiatives, in particular by focusing on artificial intelligence, Data centers and the immersive world of the metavic.

Mr. Zuckerberg’s remarks reported his tightened grip on Meta when he has redone the company for the Trump era, to the dismay of some of his employees. This month, Mr. Zuckerberg announced radical changes to reduce Meta’s speech restrictions, ended a program to verify the facts and killed diversity efforts in the workplace. He also presented himself to the inauguration of President Trump and criticized the administration of former President Biden to be anti-tech.
