Mark Ronson recovers after an injury on stage.
The musician of “Uptown Funk” shared a photo of himself giving a boost in a hospital bed on Wednesday, explaining how he jumped two biceps tendons in the middle of a DJ. “This time, the PA house was so bad that I tried to shoot the stage instructor towards the crowd in the middle of the mixture to give them additional juice,” he wrote. “It turns out that they weigh more than I thought … Two biceps on the biceps and a concert finished later, we are there, baby! #Tornthisway.”
Ronson started his musical career as a DJ before becoming a prolific pop producer – and last week, he announced that he was thinking about his record days in a new book, Night people: how to be DJ in the 90s New York.
“He tells three of my great loves: the art of the djing with all his highs and their emotional stockings, the electrical energy of New York after the nightfall and the wild and wonderful characters of the clubland who became my second family,” he wrote on Instagram. “This book is my love letter at a missing era that not only shaped my career, but my identity – an era when finding my job put me on the way to find myself.”

To commemorate the upcoming release of the book, Ronson launched a series of DJ concerts – which, according to him, had already made a physical number Before its hospitalization. “I removed my bags of storage camo records and filled them with 300 dusty records to play my first vinyl sets in 19 (?) Years,” he shared on social networks. “I woke up today, my hands shredded, my ears pulled, the lower back like concrete, and completely back in love with Djing. I am again.”
