Mark Hamill supervises a fatal trip to the trailer for Stephen King’s cinematographic adaptation The long walk.
The dystopian thriller of director Francis Lawrence will be released in theaters on September 12 of Lionsgate. Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, novel Griffin Davis and Judy Greer complete the casting.
The long walk Focus on an annual competition in which 100 boys have put themselves on the titular course which forces them to maintain a rapid pace. The walk ends with a single survivor.
In the trailer, adolescents are invited to continue to move “until there is only one of you”.
Lawrence directed the functionality of a script of JT Mollner (Darling Strange). The film adapts the novel of the same name of King in 1979 which was initially published under its pseudonym, Richard Bachman. The producers are Lawrence, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider and Cameron Macconomy.
Hamill, Jonsson and Lawrence started the first images of the film during the Cinemacon presentation of Lionsgate last month. “The premise alone is inducing a nightmare, but it is good to get out of your comfort zone,” Hamill told the crowd about working on the project. The actor has also thought about reading the bad guy: “If you cannot be the hero, there is nothing better than being the villain. If you are hue and people hate your guts, then you have done your job. ”
In addition, Lawrence explained that he had been a long -standing fan of the source equipment and that he had been attracted to the memorable premise. “You can imagine yourself instead of one of the boys,” noted the director.
