The husband of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., filed for divorce Wednesday morning in Georgia court.

In court documents obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta, Perry Greene reportedly said his 27-year marriage to Rep. Greene was “irretrievably broken.” The couple married in August 1995 and share three adult children together.

The court filing in Floyd County Superior Court showed that the couple had previously been and continue to be separated.

He also said “additional grounds” can be added as needed.

A petition has also been filed to seal the proceedings, citing “confidential and sensitive information,” FOX 5 reported. The petition argues that the parties’ “significant confidentiality interest in sealing the records outweighs the tiny public interest in accessing said records”.

A hearing date on this motion has not yet been set.
