Marjorie Taylor Greene Demands ‘Space Lasers’ at Border and Mandatory Congressional Conscription in Ukraine’s Military in Bizarre Attempt to Defeat $95 Billion Foreign Aid Bill

Congress continues to slide into irrelevance as Republicans hurl heavy-handed insults at each other in the House and members submit farcical amendments to the House foreign aid package.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene calls for “space lasers” on the southern border.

The firebrand Georgia Republican submitted an amendment to Israel’s $26 billion aid bill that would install “space laser technology on the southwest border” in a controversy over his own notorious conspiracy about Jewish space lasers controlling the weather.

She spoke of the “space lasers” that defend Israel’s border – likely referring to Israel’s ground-based laser defense system, known as Iron Beam.

In a 2018 Facebook post, Greene speculated that a massive wildfire in California was caused by a “laser beam or light beam” sent from space by the Rothschilds.

Meanwhile, Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-Wis., called Rep. Matt Gaetz a “tubby” on the House floor after he said Gaetz called him a “squish.”

It came as President Mike Johnson huddled with conservative hardliners who want to remove him from office over the $95 billion foreign aid package that includes bills to fund the Ukraine, Israel and the Indo-Pacific which he plans to present to the House.

Another Greene amendment would require anyone who votes to fund the war in Ukraine to be drafted into the Ukrainian military.

One amendment submitted by Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Democrat of Florida, would designate Greene as “Vladimir Putin’s special envoy to the United States” and another would rename Greene’s office “Neville Chamberlain Room,” in reference to the former prime minister British known for his appeasement. Adolf Hitler before World War II.

A motion to overturn has been hanging over Johnson’s head since Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene launched the campaign to oust him last month. The Georgia Republican is a staunch opponent of aid to Ukraine and has previously threatened to try to fire Johnson if it knocks him out.

With a slim Republican majority, Johnson can only afford to lose three Republicans and keep his job.

In total, the package would provide $26 billion to Israel, $60 billion to Ukraine and $8 billion to the Indo-Pacific, a combination of military and humanitarian aid. It is made up of four separate bills, including one for each region.

The Israeli security bill will provide $4 billion to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system and billions more for weapons systems, artillery and munitions, as well as $2.4 billion additional dollars for US operations in the region.

Nine billion dollars of this bill is intended for humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza.

“Some of my colleagues want the speaker of the House to have a magic wand,” Johnson said on Fox News after releasing the text of the bills and as some of his colleagues threatened to oust him over them- this.

He seemed resigned to the new motion to lift the threats. “If Marjorie makes the motion, she makes the motion and lets the chips fall where they may.”
