Los Angeles County Sheriff detectives said in early 2021 that they were investigating Manson for incidents between 2009 and 2011 in West Hollywood, where Manson lived at the time. The investigation included a search warrant which was notified at his home in West Hollywood. The case was initially entrusted to prosecutors in September 2021, but the office of the County Prosecutor of Los Angeles asked for more evidence and the investigation resumed.
