Mariah Carey was all smiles in Aspen, Colorado, after her ex Bryan Tanaka confirmed they had called it quits.
The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer smiled from ear to ear while sporting a black Chanel cardigan over a star-studded sweater during her daytime stroll on Tuesday.
Carey completed her all-black look with matching pants, leggings and heeled boots.
The new single mother of two – who shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex Nick Cannon – seemed particularly carefree following her split from Tanaka.
Last week, Page Six exclusively reported that the longtime couple had split due to different desires for their future.
“He wants to start a family. That’s not where she’s at,” a close source told us.
Our source also shared that the age gap between Carey, 54, and Tanaka, 40, played a role in their breakup.

Another source added that the backup dancer wanted to “start having a life of his own.”
On Tuesday, Tanaka confirmed on social media that they had separated after seven years together.
“With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together,” he wrote in a statement posted to Instagram.
“Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with deep requests and an immense sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we have shared.”
Tanaka, who has no children, also gushed about the Grammy winner’s 12-year-old twins, writing that their “warmth and kindness” had “enriched[his]life in ways that words cannot express.”
Rumors of trouble in paradise began swirling last month when the singer took the stage without Tanaka for her “Merry Christmas One and All!” shows at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California.
The dancer has been a staple on her tours since 2006.
Carey only seemed to fuel the flames when she arrived in Aspen last week for her annual vacation without her longtime beau. She has yet to publicly address the breakup.
