March Madness 2024 bettor sitting on $90,000 NC State ticket

Christopher Brown “never cash in, never cash in, never cash in” his March Madness futures ticket on the NC State Wolfpack.

His $500 bet on NC State is closing in on a big payout, as the Wolfpack is just two games away from glory on DraftKings, and his bet would pay out $90,000 if NC State wins it all one way or of another.

Brown’s current cashout stands at $2,345.01, according to a video on social media, but based on that video it doesn’t appear likely to be used by the bettor.

The Wolfpack has a tough date with Zach Edey and the Purdue Boilermakers this weekend; they are +340 on the moneyline and 9.5 points behind, Wednesday morning.

NC State also fell to 16/1 to win its next two games of the season, with the seemingly impossible path of having to face the nation’s No. 1 player in Edey before a potential date with UConn.

Saturday’s game will surely come down to the DJ Burns-Edey matchup, as two big bodies pound in the paint from start to finish.

It’s easy to be bearish on NC State’s victory in its Final Four game against Purdue, considering the insane amount of 3-point shooting range the Wolfpack has enjoyed this tournament.

Duke shot just 5 of 20 from beyond the arc in the Elite Eight, a substantial decline from its incredibly hot shooting earlier in the tournament.

Marquette was just 4 of 31 from 3-point range in the Sweet 16, and Oakland also didn’t put up its best shooting performance with a 12 of 35 performance in the second round.

The Wolfpack’s luck showed just how wild March Madness can be.
