Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford were considered doubts for Man United.
While for the visitors, Oli McBurnie and Gustavo Hamer were question marks.

Sheffield United on course to equal Derby record
Without wishing to add salt to Sheffield United’s wounds, the Blades are one goal away from equaling Derby’s record of 89 goals conceded in 38 Premier League matches.
The all-time record is held by Swindon Town, who shipped 100 over a 42-match campaign.
Definitely something Sheffield United will want to avoid breaking.
Wilder admits his mood is ‘as negative as it has been’ after Burnley defeat
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder admitted the mood was “as negative as it has been” following their 4-1 defeat to Burnley at the weekend.
Wilder said the Blades were hoping to pick up points against Brentford and Burnley in their last two matches but suffered 2-0 and 4-1 defeats.
The results left Sheffield United 10 points from safety with five matches remaining.
The mood around the club and the pitch was very, very negative and negative after that, perhaps as negative as it got. We had a chance to score a few points and we didn’t and that had an incredible impact on our league position,” Wilder said.
You have to get started quickly. There are big decisions to be made from a selection perspective. It’s a disappointing feeling we have at the moment and it can only be corrected by a positive result and performance at Old Trafford.
Blades aim to stun Man United again
As mentioned by Nathan, Sheffield United were victorious when they last visited Old Trafford in January 2021.

A chill in the air at Old Trafford
Nathan Salt, Mail Sport, at Old Trafford:
A lovely clear night here at Old Trafford, but with a bit of a chill in the air. I can’t say if it’s a good omen or a bad omen – it doesn’t seem to mean much for this team – but Manchester United’s only defeat in the last 10 Premier League games came against Sheffield United in their last meeting at Old Trafford, losing 2-1 in January 2021… Erik ten Hag simply CANNOT afford to repeat that, otherwise it’s really over for him
As mentioned, Ten Hag launched the attack in their pre-match press conference on Tuesday by responding to suggestions that the penalty shootout victory over Coventry was “embarrassing”.
“You asked (asked) the question: ‘Is this embarrassing?’ » No, your reaction was embarrassing. These comments are a disgrace,” Ten Hag said.
“Top level football is about results. We reached the final and we deserved it, not only for this match but also for the other matches. We lost control for 20 minutes, we also had bad luck for 3-2 and 3-3. We were very lucky in the end, that’s clear.
“We weren’t happy with it. I can see the fans aren’t happy about it either, but they feed off opinions. But overall what I’ve heard is that the fans are very happy that we’re in the FA Cup final again.
It’s a huge achievement. Twice in two years is magnificent. For me as a coach, five cup finals in four years.
Mail Sport’s Nathan Salt writes that although Ten Hag has fought with the media this week, now is the time for his team to do so on the pitch.
Man United look to quiet the noise
Has an FA Cup semi-final victory ever generated so much pessimism?
Man United’s penalty shootout victory over Coventry on Sunday, thanks to a collapse from a 3-0 lead, has sparked renewed attention around Erik ten Hag and the team.
Ten Hag got into a fight ahead of tonight’s Premier League match against Sheffield United.
The Dutchman branded the reaction to the FA Cup semi-final a “disgrace”.
Man United could certainly silence the noise tonight with what should be routine home duty against a Sheffield United side looking destined for the Championship.
Chris Wilder and the Blades will have other ideas as the visitors attempt to breathe some life into their flickering survival hopes.
