Manchester United confirmed that they will return to the United States on tour this summer to face West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in a summer series in Premier League.
United will be based in Chicago where they will face Bournemouth on July 30 after launching the tournament around West Ham in New Jersey on July 26, before finishing against Everton in Atlanta on August 3.
It will be the third consecutive time that United has shot in America after being based in San Diego and Los Angeles for the last two summers.
Mail Sport revealed exclusively in January that United was at the head of the series and would consider Chicago as a potential basis. The official announcement was delivered live on NBC, the host broadcaster for the competition, at the half-time of his cover live from the match of the Premier League on Sunday against Arsenal to Old Trafford.
United Technical Director Jason Wilcox said: “ The weeks preceding a new Premier League season are always an exciting period for Manchester United players and fans, and we like to spend this period in the United States, enjoy the training facilities and world class stages, and to engage with fans.
“Playing other teams from the Premier League offers players the opportunity to save precious playing time against the best opposition, and for our fans passionate about seeing some of the most famous teams in world football live in three of the most emblematic stadiums in North America.”
