A 21 -year -old was charged after fires on two properties and a car linked to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, the metropolitan police said.
Roman Lavrynovch, a Ukrainian national, was accused of three criminal fire leaders with the intention of endangering life on Thursday.
He was arrested at an address in Sydenham, southeast of London, in the early hours of Tuesday. He was to appear on Friday before the Westminster Court of First Instance.
The accusations relate to three incidents over a period of four days – a vehicle fire in the city of Kentish, north of London, a fire at the Prime Minister’s private house in the same street and a fire at an address in which he lived in northwestern London.
The investigation was carried out by the command of counter-terrorism of the MET due to its links with a high-level figure.
In the early hours of Monday, May 12, emergency services responded to a fire at the Kentish city house where Sir Keir Starmer lived before becoming Prime Minister and move into 10 Downing Street.
The police were alerted by the London Fire Brigade (LFB) to fire reports at the residential address at 1:35 am.
Damage was caused at the entrance to the property, but no one was injured.
It is understood that the property was rented.
A car linked to Sir Keir was on four days earlier on Thursday, May 8 in the same street.
In the early hours of Sunday, May 11, the firefighters faced a small fire at the front door of a house converted into apartments in Islington nearby.
The BBC understands that the Prime Minister lived there in the 1990s.
