Man found shot to death in Taunton hangar, officials say

Authorities are investigating the killing of a 32-year-old man Saturday morning on Highland Street in Taunton.

Taunton police were called to 155 Highland St. around 9:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a deceased person in a “furnished shed,” the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

When investigators arrived, they found a man, later identified as Jhonny Lajoie of Taunton, shot to death.

State police and Taunton police are investigating the death, which authorities described as “extremely active.”

No further information was released Sunday evening.
