Man dies in crash near Ellsworth

The Iowa State Patrol says a Kansas City man died following a crash Tuesday on I-35 near Ellsworth in Hamilton County, KCRG reports. According to an accident report, a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling northbound on I-35 when the driver lost control on a bridge due to slippery conditions. The pickup truck then rolled into the ditch, ejecting a passenger in the back. Jose Roger Rivera Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol says he was not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
