Man arrested in Worcester shooting that injured 3 teens

A 23-year-old Holden man is facing charges in connection with a Sunday night shooting in Worcester that sent three teenagers to the hospital.

Levon Atupem was arrested around 3:02 a.m. Wednesday by Worcester police in the Park Avenue area on an active arrest warrant related to the shooting, police said. He is charged with three counts of assault, murder with a firearm, accessory before the fact and accessory after the fact.

Atupem is the second man arrested and charged by police in connection with the shooting. On Monday, Jordany Alejo, 19, of Worcester, was arrested and charged with three counts of armed assault to murder, according to police.

Police responded to the shooting on Clarkson Street on Sunday around 9:11 p.m. At the scene, police found two 18-year-old women and a 17-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds. The teens received medical aid from first responders on scene and were transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.
