San Leandro – A man apparently upset by not having been authorized to climb a bus out of service at San Leandro Bart station was arrested on Sunday evening for having pretended to stabbed another man on the face, the authorities announced.
The 50 -year -old injured man was treated on the scene for superficial laceration and does not need hospitalization, the authorities said.
The stab wounds took place around 10:14 p.m. Sunday in the bus area of the station, which is 1401 San Leandro Blvd.
Bart officials said that the suspect, identified as Hayward Chinook Bacon, was apparently upset to have been refused entry into an out -of -service bus. He had a verbal altercation with the bus driver, then attacked the 50 -year -old man who was nearby, the authorities said.
Bacon, who has a previous voluntary voluntary conviction, apparently did not know that the person had stabbed.
Someone reported police from San Leandro who stopped nearby and arrested Bacon. A knife has been recovered on the scene.
Bacon was arrested for suspicion of aggression with a fatal weapon other than a firearm and brandishing a weapon. He was detained instead of a deposit of $ 35,000 in Santa Rita prison pending indictment to court on Wednesday.
According to previous media accounts and judicial files, Bacon was prosecuted in adulthood at the age of 17 following a multi-vehicle collision of December 31, 2009 in East Oakland who made a 66-year-old grandmother and several other people injured.
At the time, he led a stolen Toyota sedan; When he thought he had been spotted by the police, he accelerated, reaching speeds over 80 MPH, said media accounts. Oakland police said at the time that they had not prosecuted it. He crossed two stop panels before colliding with a vehicle at the 62nd avenue and Foothill Boulevard. The vehicle he hit held the woman killed and two other occupants injured. The passengers of the stolen car were also injured.
Bacon was initially accused of murder, voluntary manslaughter, manslaughter in a vehicle of serious negligence, theft of vehicles and police escape, according to the judicial archives. In May 2011, he did not argue any competition and was found guilty of voluntary homicide and the other charges were rejected, according to the judicial archives. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
