A man has been accused of stalking Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas.
Kyle Shaw, 37, appeared at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court, Merseyside, on January 3, the Court Service confirmed.
Shaw, of Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside, is accused of stalking Ballas, 64, between August 31, 2017 and November 29, 2023 by sending him messages online. He is also accused of possessing a quantity of cannabis.
Shaw did not enter a plea and was released on bail. He is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on January 31, the court service said.
Ballas, originally from Wallasey, Wirral, has been head judge on the BBC show since 2017.
