The first phase of the Lok Sabha elections will start on Friday (April 19), with surveys in 102 districts distributed in 21 Union states and territories. India organizes general elections in seven phases which will last until June 1.
The vote will take place in the 39 seats of Lok Sabha in Tamil Nadu, 12 in Rajasthan, eight in Uttar Pradesh, six in Madhya Pradesh, five each at Uttarakhand, Assam and Maharashtra, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two each in Arunachal, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two each in Arunachal, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two each in Arunachal, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two each in Arunachal, Four In Bihar, three at West Bengal, two each in Arunachal, Four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two each in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya and each in Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripipura, Andaman and Nicobar, Jammu And Cashmire, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry.
Several Bigwigs will test their fortune in the first phase of Lok Sabha’s surveys. From Nagpur du Maharashtra to Jorhat d’Assam, here are the main battles you have to watch.
Nagpur of Maharashtra
The Minister of the Union for Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari presents himself again from the headquarters of Nagpur Lok Sabha. He won the constituency of the last two general elections on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.
Formerly a bastion of Vilas Muttemwar of Congress, Gadkari defeated him during the 2014 elections by a wide margin. The senior BJP managers put the headquarters in 2019, beating the candidate of the Congress Nana Patole.
This time, Gadkari is faced with the seated congress of the Congress, the deputy of Nagpur West Vikas Thakre.
Nagina of Uttar Pradesh
Nagina, a headquarters reserved for the planned caste candidates, will be assisted by a competition at four corners.
Chandrashekhar Azad, National President of the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), arises from the constituency of Nagina Lok Sabha. Azad, a well -known chief Dalit, hopes to convert his popularity into votes. He has the support of the president of the Rashtriya Shoshit party Samaj Swami Prasad Maurya, reported India today.
Manoj Kumar of Samajwadi Party (SP), Surender Pal Singh of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and OM Kumar of the BJP are also in the fray from the siege.
About India todayThe Nagina Lok Sabha seat has not been kept by any political party since the 2009 polls.
In Lok Sabha’s Lok Sabha polls, the BSP candidate, Girish Chandra, was victorious from the siege by a margin of 166,832 votes against Dr. Yashwant Singh of the BJP.
ARUNACHAL PRADESH ARUNACHAL WEST

The Minister of the Union of Terre et des Sciences, Kiren Rijiju, fights against the siege of Arunachal West Lok Sabha. Nabam Tuki, former chief minister of the State, is the candidate of the Congress for the headquarters. Ruhi Tangung of Janata Dal (United) is also in the race.
Rijiju had beaten Tuki, who is the current president of the Congress of Arunachal Pradesh, in the polls of Lok Sabha 2019. In 2014, Takam Sanjoy of the Congress lost the siege against the Rijiju du BJP.
Madhya Pradesh chhindwara
Nakul Nath of Congress requests a re -election of the seat of Chhindwara Lok Sabha. The son of the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, won the siege in the 2019 elections by defeating Nathansaha Kawreti from the BJP.
Chhindwara was the only seat of Lok Sabha won by Congress at Madhya Pradesh. The remaining 28 constituencies were swept by the Safran party.
Chhindwara is the bastion of Kamal Nath which has been triumphant from the siege nine times since 1980.
Tamil Nadu Thothukudi
DMK’s seated deputy, Kanimozhi, Thoothukudi, is looking for a re -election. Nainar swimming of the BJP challenges her from the constituency.
Kanimozhi, the daughter of the former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi, had won her young Lok Sabha surveys of Thootukudi in 2019, defeating the Tamilis Soundarajan of the BJP by a margin of margin of 3.47,200 votes.
Uttar Pradesh pilibhit
Pilibhit in the west of Uttar Pradesh has been a bastion of the “other” Gandhi family for decades. Maneka Gandhi’s family has kept a strong grip on the constituency since 1989.

Tamil Nadu co -mate
Coimbatore is one of the most interesting competitions of these Lok Sabha surveys. Traditionally, it was a bastion seat of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its main rival of India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
The siege of Lok Sabha was won by Pr Natarajan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), member of the Alliance led by DMK, in the 2019 polls.
However, he is not in the race this time. The president of Tamil Nadu BJP, K Annamalai, made his debut of Lok Sabha from Coimbatore. He is against the candidate of the DMK Ganapathy P Rajkumar and Singai Ramachandran of Aiadmk.
Jorhat d’Assam
It is Gogoi vs Gogoi in the riding of Jorhat Lok Sabha from Assam. The star candidate of the Congress, Gaurav Gogoi, is in competition with the seated deputy of the BJP, Topon Kumar Gogoi.
Gaurav, the son of former chief minister Tarun Gogoi, won Lok Sabha’s polls twice since 2014 in the Kaliabor district. However, following the delimitation exercise in 2019, he moved to the neighboring district of Jorhat, noted Indian Express.
Rajasthan bikaner
The BJP has triumphed over Bikaner Lok Sabha sits four consecutive times from 2004 to 2019, according to Indian Express.
The Minister of the Union, Arjun Ram Meghwal, who has won the headquarters since 2009, again attempts his luck on a BJP ticket. The Congress again opposed Govind Ram Meghwal to the Bikaner assignment assigned.

The Minister of State of the Union for Sciences and Technology, Dr. Jitetra Singh, aims to be elected from the Udhampur Constitution of Lok Sabha of Jammu-et-Cachemire again. He fights against the chief of the Chaudhary Lal Singh congress.
