London/European traders return home and with declines in their main indices:

Meanwhile, in the US markets, the main indices are slightly higher:
- The Dow Industrial Average rose 18.40 points or 0.05% to 39,824.35
- S&P index up 3.41 points or 0.06% to 5311.69 (closing record is 5308.14)
- NASDAQ index up 13.25 points or 0.09% to 16807.80. Yesterday the index closed at a record high, so anything positive today constitutes a new record high.
The small-cap Russell 2000 is down 6.27 points or -0.30% at 2,096.24.
Nvidia shares are now up $4.50 after falling as low as $16 earlier in the day. The price is nearing its all-time high closing level of $950.02. Its record intraday price is up at $974
