Mahershala Ali’s BLADE Status, CAPTAIN AMERICA 4 Issues, and Taylor Swift’s Marvel Status

Despite some quantity versus quality issues during the Multiverse saga, the MCU continues to garner huge interest from moviegoers and comic book fans alike. This partly explains why we get so many rumors about its future and we’re back today with another roundup.

We start with information shared by Jeff Sneider. He discusses some recent rumors surrounding the MCU, including this latest report on Captain America: Brave New World needing only 22 days of retakes (read more about it here).

Sneider believes more additional photography is planned later in 2024 and notes: “From what I’ve heard, it’s going to take a lot longer than 22 days to fix everything that’s wrong with this movie.”

Another supposedly troubled MCU project is Blade. First announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, the reboot has been made by multiple writers and directors and, as of this writing, it still doesn’t appear to be close to happening.

We’ve heard quite a bit of concerned chatter in recent days, but Sneider insists that Mahershala Ali is not exit Blade and remains as invested in the character as he has ever been. Like Marvel Studios, it seems like it just wants to get this movie right.

Finally, the scooper shares what he heard about Spider-Man 4. Sneider believes Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were never in contention to lead Spider-Man 4 and claims that they were expelled from Ms. MarvelThe post-production process is difficult to work with.

This contradicts much of what we’ve heard about their time on the Disney+ series. Moreover, after Bat girl was dropped, they even shared a supportive email sent to them by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Next, we move on to @MyTimeToShineH. After their recent 300 Scoop of the TV series turned out to be correctwe’re willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with this rumor: apparently, singer Taylor Swift not to be in Deadpool and Wolverine after all.

If this is accurate, Marvel Studios is going to disappoint a lot of Swifties who were excited to see her dress up as Dazzler.

The leaker claims that Lucasfilm wants to bring Swift into the Star Wars franchise; interesting way, Madame Web Star Sydney Sweeney is also reportedly in the running for a role in Galaxy Far, Far Away (what makes this even more intriguing is the fact that the two women are reportedly in talks for the Scarlett Johansson film).
