Maharaja sets Chinese box office record

Vijay Sethupathi is one of the superstars of Tamil cinema. As Makkal Selvan, he has done extraordinary things in Kollywood. Not only as an actor, but he is also winning hearts as a host of the show Bigg Boss Tamil. His latest film, Maharaja, set a record at the Chinese box office.

Maharaja has become the highest-grossing Indian film in China since 2018, reaching Rs 91.55 crore. The film was a big hit in Tamil Nadu and was released simultaneously on the same day in Telugu states. The Telugu version also impressed the audience and was a dream success at the box office.

So far, Dangal ranks first with a gross of Rs 1,480 Cr at the Chinese box office. Moreover, Maharaja is the only South film to feature in the list of top ten box office films.
