Madonna says she and Elton John “finally buried the ax” after the public quarrel several decades

Madonna and Elton John made amends after a notorious quarrel of several years which saw the two beards of public negotiations against each other since 2004.

As we can see on Madonna’s verified Instagram on Monday, the singer of “Vogue” went to watch John play on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, later sharing a photo posing with him as proof that the pair is now friends.

“We finally buried the ax !!!” Madonna wrote in legend. “During the decades, it hurt me to know that someone I admired shared his aversion to me as an artist so much. I didn’t understand it. ”

Madonna wrote that once she heard that John was the musical guest “SNL”, she “decided to go”.

“I needed to go behind the scenes and confront it,” she wrote. “When I met him, the first thing that came out of his mouth was:” Forgive me “and the wall between us fell. Forgiveness is a powerful tool. In a few minutes. We were getting up.”

She added that John had written a song for her and wanted to collaborate.

The so-called quarrel of the legendary pair stems from a comment that John made during the 2004 Q Awards when he accepted the price of the classical composer, where he accused Madonna of Labial Synchronization.

Superstars have since exchanged insults in a public manner.

In 2012, Madonna beat John to the Golden Globes, when she brought the Gong for the best original song for her song “Masterpiece” by her film “We” on “Hello Hello” by John of animated film “Gnomeo & Juliet”.

Before the show, John was on the red carpet and said that she had not “taken the chance” for the prize, and while her Madgesty was later on stage delivering her acceptance speech, the camera cut John, whose look was pure daggers.

Nowadays, it seems, the two gathered and have made peace and instead of slamming John, Madonna praises her heritage.

“Seeing him playing when I was in high school changed the course of my life,” she wrote in her Instagram message on Monday. “I always felt like a stranger growing up and watching him on stage helped me understand that it was ok to be different.”

Later Monday, John republished Madonna’s photos of “SNL” on his Instagram history, writing, “a moment of healing” with an emoji of heart.
