Macomb County man wins $1.05 million with Michigan lottery ticket

A Mount Clemens convenience store employee recently brought a Macomb County man to tears.

On May 7, a 34-year-old man purchased a Jumbo Jackpot Slots Fast Cash ticket at Cass Market and Liquor located at 278 Cass Ave., according to the Michigan Lottery.

When he scanned the ticket’s barcode on the lottery scanner, it directed him to go to the retailer. So he handed the ticket to the seller who told him he had won the estimated jackpot of $802,234 plus $250,000.

“I’m not going to lie, I definitely shed a few tears!” the winner, who chose to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery.

It was his first time playing the $20 Fast Cash game. The series of instant-win games print from terminals at retailers and cost between $2 and $20 per game, according to the Michigan Lottery.
