‘Machete’ Actor Danny Trejo Involved in Violent Fight on July 4 After Being Hit by Water Balloon
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Danny Trejo was involved in a violent fight during a July 4th parade in Los Angeles.
In a video posted to Facebook, the 80-year-old “Machete” actor was seen pushing and shoving a crowd during a parade in Sunland-Tujunga, just outside Los Angeles.
The fight was quickly broken up by passersby, with one woman shouting: “They’re f**king kids.”
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, Trejo and his friend, who were participating in the parade and riding in a vintage car, confronted a group of people shortly after being hit with water bottles and water balloons.

“He was more of a confrontational type. He wasn’t there to hit anybody,” Arnie Abramiam, who filmed the fight on his cellphone camera, told Fox 11. “But I think once he got hit, he started throwing punches.”
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}“They threw another water balloon at him. They punched him. People fell. There was blood everywhere. I think Mario (the) gentleman was hit. They opened his eye,” Abramiam said of Trejo’s friend.

In a video obtained by the media outlet, Trejo and Mario are seen being thrown to the ground.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}“He didn’t seem hurt. I think he was more, I don’t think he was physically hurt, I think he was upset,” Abramiam said of Trejo. “He was angry, and angry as a mask of pain. But at the same time, I think his blood was boiling.”

A representative for Trejo did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Earlier this year, Trejo reached a milestone as he entered the 56th year of his sobriety journey.

“You have to have people around you who have your best interests at heart, because everyone knows who has a drinking problem,” he shared.
