M. Bison and the latest patch are now live in Street Fighter 6. To help him deal with projectiles, which has been a common problem for M. Bison throughout the series, the Psycho Crusher and Psycho Crusher Overdrive were shown to counter zoning options during the character’s gameplay trailer.
It turns out, however, that this iconic special move outperforms more than just projectiles. In fact, he outperforms more shots than you would ever imagine (under the right circumstances).
Other forward advancement moves such as Lily’s Condor Spire Overdrive (even with Wind Stock), Blanka Ball, and E. Honda’s Sumo Headbutt can be beaten cleanly with Psycho Crusher. This gives M. Bison a particularly impressive ground game against these fighters.
Of course, the deposed dictator apparently has a super simple method to bypass Rashid’s super level 2. This is certainly interesting since the size and range of this projectile is usually enough to completely lock down opponents.
It’s not too surprising to see Psycho Crusher Overdrive phase through a projectile, even though it’s a Level 2 Super Art, but it’s odd to see Psycho Crusher surpass even Cammy’s Level 3 Super Art.
Even attacking the move from an uncomfortable angle is not a surefire bet against M. Bison since he has been shown to always win these types of trades. Although it’s only the first day since M. Bison’s release, the character already seems to be fitting in with the other higher tiers.
The reason Psycho Crusher is able to gain the upper hand in so many of these situations is due to his invincibility to aerial attacks, which he has as of frame 6. This is a trait that others also possess moves in the game, like most Dragon Punches, to help them better counter aerial attacks.
Check it all out below:
psycho crusher EX -3 on block (+10 with the bomb set) which is:

1st discovery. Bison Psycho Crusher beats Blanka’s bullets even if you delay him. That is, if they go for the high version, they can still bait you if they want. pic.twitter.com/Rsfe5wEqPx

Yeah, Bison Psycho Crusher beats Airbone Cammy’s diving kicks, but depending on the timing, he’ll either beat him or he’ll miss completely. pic.twitter.com/bVlmCH5gg3

Hehehehe.
No it’s not broken because Honda headbutt is -3 on the block and Psycho Crusher is like -20+
If Honda does his headbutt SUPER LATE after reacting, he’s going to beat him clean. But I just wanted people to exaggerate and overreact because they don’t read long texts anyway. pic.twitter.com/AjScydV6oi
