M. Bison can perform 3 Drive Impacts in the same combo and drain over half of your Drive Gauge in one go in Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6’s latest DLC character, M. Bison, is looking pretty strong here at the start of Season 2. The former dictator turned forgetful drifter has a lot of strengths that make him a top character here in Street Fighter 6, but his lack of the invincible Overdrive reversal could potentially ruin everything going forward.

We’ll have to wait and see where he lands in the coming months, but before that, today we’re taking a look at another of M. Bison’s strengths in Street Fighter 6. The hard-hitting competitor has the ability to perform three Drive Impacts in a single combo, which ends up draining over half of your Drive Gauge when all is said and done.

This powerful combo is the brainchild of Desk, who recently released a full video of the combo for the new DLC character. Sharing this impressive feat as a standalone clip on Twitter, however, allows us to see and appreciate it in all its glory.

The combo utilizes M. Bison’s Psycho Mine mechanic, which allows him to inject a timed Psycho Powered Bomb into the opponent that explodes after a set amount of time or when it comes into contact with Bison’s specific special moves. The explosion is multifaceted, with its behavior changing depending on the interaction.

If Bison lets the mine detonate on its own, it will send the opponent flying high into the air for a later juggle. When it comes into contact with a move like Psycho Crusher, it gets more damage on impact for the normal version, a great juggle opportunity if the OD version hits, and safe offensive pressure if a version is blocked while the mine is active.

This also disappears if M. Bison is hit before the mine explodes or is manually activated, but you can create scenarios where you set up the next move and deal a big punishment accordingly, much like Desk does here.

With a mine on Blanka, Desk punishes an OD Beast Ball with Drive Impact scoring the first of the combo. He then follows up with a crouching heavy punch with the second Drive Impact as Blanka is crushed, sending him flying into the air.

Thanks to the perfect timing of this sequence, the mine explodes after the second Drive Impact, which causes the opponent to jump higher and allows for an even greater combo extension. Desk takes this opportunity to add a small reference to Super Street Fighter II Turbo in Bison’s multiple light kicks in this combo before finishing with the third and final Drive Impact.

Not counting the meter Blanka himself used on the OD Beast Ball, in total this combo depleted about three and a half stocks of Drive Gauge.
