Luke Littler leapfrogs world no.1 Luke Humphries as 17-year-old tops Premier League table for first time ever

Luke Littler recorded back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time on a memorable night in Manchester.

Fresh from glory in Belfast last week, the 17-year-old hoped to continue his dominance in front of his home crowd on Thursday night, which he did in emphatic style.

Partnered with Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals, The Nuke recorded a comfortable 6-3 victory to earn his place in the last four where he faced close friend Nathan Aspinall.

‘The Asp’ have been in great form in recent weeks, but despite a late fightback, it was Littler who won 6-4 to earn their place in the final.

With current Premier League leaders Luke Humphies knocked out in the quarter-final, Littler was able to avoid the world No.1 and found himself facing Price in the showpiece event.

Facing the Welshman, the Runcorn-born star recorded a 6-3 victory over ‘The Iceman’ to secure victory.

Next up is Premier League Night 11 which takes place in Birmingham next Thursday where Littler will face Rob Cross in the quarter-finals.
