Wayne Rooney was present for the Night 10 of the Premier League darts, but the huge fan of Manchester United, Luke Littler, had one night to forget in front of the legend of the Red Devils.
And it was a Mancunian who was triumphant in Manchester while Nathan Aspinall turned upside down the chances of winning his first night of this year’s tournament.
Littleler started the evening when he finished his round of six consecutive defeats against Gerwyn Price (6-3) despite the Welshman managing a superb Darter.
However, the 17-year-old was beaten 6-4 in the semi-finals by former rival Luke Humphries, who exploded Stephen Bunting 6-1 with an average of 118.43 in his first match.
Cool Hand Luke was unable to go to the end, while Aspinall was recovering from 3-0 in the final, winning six of the seven legs following to win the victory and draw a huge roar of the crowd at AO arena.
Rooney was part of the 12,500 closed window crowds and seemed to take the opportunity when he cut a low profile in a baseball cap on a VIP table.

“I have never felt so nervous at the end, honest towards God, I cannot say what I thought or felt. It was the six or seven most nervous darts that I have ever launched.
