Padres’ first goal player, Luis Arraez, was released from the hospital after a scary scene on Sunday.
Arraez fled to the first base and tried to beat the second player of the astros Mauricio Dubon in the bag, but collided with Dubon in what Jon Heyman of the post described as “one of the most frightening collisions that you will never see”.
Arraez was good enough to be released from the hospital in a few hours, despite its stretching of the field.
“The best of cases with Luis,” said Padres manager Mike Shildt after the match. “Obviously, very scary. We think it is, for the most part, out of the woods. Time will tell us, but the initial tests are very favorable. No fractures of any kind. A little laceration on its jaw, so we are worried about its jaw, clearly its cervical region.”
Shildt added that Arraez had succeeded in a concussion protocol, although there was a scary moment when he “was not aware of his collision.
After the match, Arraez, fresh out of the hospital, joined his teammates in the clubhouse after a 3-2 Astros defeat.
The MLB 2023 MLB shot champion is a major part of the Padres offensive, hitting second behind the outflower superstar Fernando Tatis Jr.
A calendar has not yet been settled for snatch.
The laceration of the jaw could force him to miss a certain time, although it is not clear if it will force him to be placed on the injured list.
San Diego has a 16-6 MLB 16-6 record on Monday, holding a half-match advance on the Dodgers in the NL West.
