Lucy Dacus is back: the singer and songwriter has announced her first solo album since 2021 Home video-and the Grammy winner The filewith Boygenius. Dacus’ fourth solo studio album, Forever is a feelingarrives March 28 via Geffen. Today, Dacus shared two songs from the project: “Ankles” and “Limerence.” The first arrives with a fanciful clip filmed in the streets of Paris and in a museum. Watch Dacus, dressed in a red Rodarte dress, go on a rampage despite the efforts of a museum guard (played by actress Havana Rose Liu) in the clip below.
The 13 titles Forever is a feeling has contributions from Dacus’ Boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, as well as Jay Som’s Hozier, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch and Melina Duterte. The album cover, painted in the style of a Renaissance religious work, was created by visual artist Will St. John.
Dacus will tour to support Forever is a feeling from April. The North American tour will begin April 16 in Philadelphia and travel through New York, Toronto, Nashville, Chicago, Dallas and elsewhere before ending May 14 with a concert in Los Angeles. Muna’s Katie Gavin and Saddest Factory artist Jasmine.4.T will support the spring lineup.
Dacus is partnering with Plus1 so that $1 per ticket will go toward providing critical relief and long-term recovery support to those affected by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angles through the organization’s Plus1 LA Fires Fund. Find the full Dacus program below.
