THE love is blind The season nine star spoke out about her decision to end her engagement to Patrick Suzuki shortly after leaving the pods, denying that the breakup had anything to do with his appearance.

For Kacie, coming face to face with her pod connection made her “feel more like an outsider.”

“I can never explain that feeling, you think you’re really in love with this person and then you meet them and you’re like, ‘Oh wow, I actually don’t know this person,'” she told Netflix’s Tudum in a recent interview. “I kind of fell apart.”

In fact, Kacie said Patrick’s appearance wasn’t one of her main concerns at the time, although she said in an episode four confessional that she ended things because she didn’t think her attraction to him “was going to grow that much.”

“He’s a handsome guy,” she continued. “It was more about the fact that he was a stranger in my arms than it was about his appearance.”

Indeed, Kacie insisted she was being honest when she suggested they end their relationship off-camera and try dating outside of the show, although she admitted it “felt weird.”
