“In November,” he began, “I got a little sick. I just felt a little bad. But I didn’t take it too seriously and then, the next thing you know, we We’re about a month in. So here’s why this month of waiting really hurt because by the time I got to the doctor in December, I had a fever for about three weeks. lost 20 pounds.”
The doctor told Appiah that his symptoms could be attributed to several illnesses, the reality TV star said. Cancer was one of them, which was “very scary,” he noted in the caption.

“Let’s come full circle, back to why I’m telling you this,” he said in the video. “We actually found out that I had something called ulcerative colitis, which I was experiencing, at that point, at its worst level.”
Appiah appeared in the Netflix series hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, in which single people meet, date and get engaged without seeing each other, set in 2023. He and another contestant, Chelsea Griffin, eventually married.
