Rebecki was stopped with just nine seconds left in the fight, but it was almost certainly for the best as he took a ton of damage to his face.

Both of the Polish MMA star’s eyes were cut and swollen.

The UFC sent Rebecki to the hospital to be checked out by doctors and it was from there that he posted a graphic photo on Instagram that shocked fans.

“Life,” he wrote in Polish alongside a shrugging emoji and a photo of him covered in blood, bruises and cuts after his 16-fight winning streak came to an abrupt end.

Fans began expressing concern for Rebecki after the dark photo was shared countless times on various social media platforms.

One person commented: “Looks like he had his eyes gouged out.” »

Someone else said: “This looks like the guy who was attacked by a mountain lion.” »

Another person added: “Whoever did this to him should be in jail.” »

Rebecki was the biggest betting favorite on the card, and he initially lived up to expectations by overwhelming Diego Ferreira with massive punches to score a first-round knockdown.

Diego Ferreira withstood the early onslaughts by remaining patient and dodging the Reapers before hitting back with precise strikes.

The 39-year-old began to return to the fight when both of Rebecki’s eyes became severely swollen from the volume of strikes being thrown at him.

Ultimately, he found himself in top position, unleashing a series of nasty ground and pound strikes until the referee waved it off in the final seconds of the third round.

It is currently unclear exactly what eye injury Rebecki suffered.

Whatever the doctor’s official diagnosis, he’ll need a long period of time away to recover from that really rough night at the office.
