Looking sharp – The San Diego Union-Tribune

A new hair salon opened Tuesday at San Diego City College with a mission to support black and brown male students. Any male student can have their hair cut for free by professional barbers, who donate their time. Fresh Cutz Hair Salon does more than just cut hair. It also connects students with support services, such as counseling and financial aid, the college said. The new store has three hair stations, a seating area, arcade games, a television and music. Fresh Cutz will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday, by appointment only.

Darius Manney, a business administration student, gets his hair cut Tuesday.
