Longtime NFL defensive back Logan Ryan has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.

Ryan, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots, spent last season with the 49ers and shared his decision on social media.

“Thank you to all my family, friends and teammates for your advice and support! » he captioned a video on X announcing his decision. “Thank you fans for watching!

“I won 2 Super Bowls and came out happy and healthy to be the best father to my children! Thanks again for 11 seasons! Congratulations for the rest.

He added in the video: “Man, what a great career, what an adventure it’s been. Beautiful journey of ups and downs as they always are.

Logan Ryan concluded his 11-year NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers last season.

Ryan began his career in New England after being selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, before signing with the Titans before the 2017 season and later suiting up for the Giants, Buccaneers and 49ers .

The former Rutgers product earned more than $59 million during his professional career, according to Spotrac.
