Influencer Lizzie Kieffer announced that her 12 -month -old daughter Lilian died last week.
Opening on her baby’s tragic loss in a publication on shared social networks on Saturday, April 26, the creator of Instagram content – who uses her history in physiotherapy and in good shape to teach women health – wrote that her daughter, Lilian “Lily” Louise, died on April 23.
“We are broken,” Kieffer started. “On Wednesday, we woke up with a nightmare that we never imagined becoming our reality. Our Lys died.”
“Our hearts, our bodies, our souls hurt for her because she was the purist of beings and brought the light to each space she filled,” she wrote. “We are written our days before we even be trained, and in the 374 days of Lily’s life, she taught us more than I think that many could not in their lifetime.”
Although there are many things that she and her husband Matt Kieffer do not know the death of her daughter so far, the doctors have said that Lily, 12 months, had a big mass on her brain, said Kieffer.
“We also learned that Lily had a big mass on her brain that we could never have known because she never showed signs,” she shared. “We will not know more answers with many of these things for months as long as new tests are not done.”
The influencer based in Missouri also explained how her faith helped her and her husband during last week.
“… We have no answers and we do not know why it is God’s plan for our lives. And we will never fully understand this mystery until we see it one day. What we know is God is faithful and will bring light to the darkest places,” she wrote in part. “And we know that Lily is so tight by Jesus and his loved ones in the sky. And probably play in his ball pit or get up in his little red car up there. We feel it.”

Kieffer asked for prayers and patience with her business while his family navigates the loss of his daughter.
“Our family and friends hold us when we do not think that it is possible to move. But we want you to know that we feel your prayers and your support. We feel the presence of God around our family and our friends,” she added. “And we ask you to continue to pray hard for our family when we sail during this extremely difficult period.”
The content creator also spoke directly to his daughter, writing: “You will always, always part of us and although the hole is never filled, speaking of your name will sing our days to bring joy in moments.”
“You are our light in this darkness and we know that God holds you in an additional place,” she added.
On March 2, Kieffer announced that she was expecting a third child in September 2025. The couple was also parents of the eldest girl Mia.
In a necrology for Lily, the couple wrote that the “(adored)” of his big sister “, aged 12 months, of which each move brought him fear and pleasure”.
“She wrapped herself in her mother’s heart with a link too deep for the words and was a real daughter of dad, finding comfort and endless joy in her father’s arms,” said the Bill. “His days were full of laughter and play – his favorite moments spent climbing in the ball pit, climbing the stairs eager for pursuit while looking back with a laugh, or driving in his small red car with Mia, the two side by side in a simple and perfect happiness.”
Lily is survived by her parents, her big sister and four grandparents. The ONCRology adds that a visits service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 and a funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30.
