Liverpool fans have hailed Alisson for making an incredible save against Crystal Palace.

Eberechi Eze fired the visitors back to the shock of everyone at Anfield before Jean-Philippe Mateta pounced on a Virgil van Dijk error.

However, the Frenchman’s shot was blocked off the line by Andy Robertson as the score remained level.

Palace should have doubled their lead in the second half, thanks again to Mateta, but Alisson was there to stop them.

His save is now hailed as one of the best in Premier League history.

The save was hailed as “the most ridiculous save you’ve ever seen”

Speaking ahead of the match, Jamie Carragher highlighted how important the Brazilian is to Liverpool.

He said: “I think it’s huge to have Alisson back. Kelleher has been fantastic, but you are talking about one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

“When you see Alisson in goal I think it will knock your confidence slightly.”

And now he’s delivered on his pre-match words, pulling off one of the best saves you’ll ever see.

Fans took to social media to praise the Reds keeper, as one said: “Alisson with perhaps the most ridiculous save you’ve ever seen to keep the score at 0 -1!”

Another fan showed his love for the shooter.

“I love Alisson Becker more than anything,” they wrote.

One supporter admitted Mateta couldn’t have done anything better as Alisson’s save was “ridiculous”.

He said: This is a ridiculous save from Alisson. I’m not sure Mateta did anything wrong.

Despite Alisson’s heroics, Liverpool’s attackers could not find the goal they needed and were defeated by Crystal Palace.
