The Capitals of Washington and the Hurricanes of Caroline divided the first two games at Capital Onena. Now the series turns to Lenovo Center where the Hurricanes are a difficult team to play.
Carolina did not lose a single home game (3-0) in the first round against the Devils of New Jersey. They also did not lose a against capital in the 2019 eliminatory series of the two teams (3-0). The last time the caps beat the Hurricanes on the road was December 17, 2023 in a 2-1 victory.
Charlie Lindgren will return to his backup role because the caps will go with the same programming everywhere else. The canes return Roslovic and Kotkaniemi in their lines, but that’s it.
Puck Drop for match 3 is at 6:00 p.m. on TNT. Let’s go!

The washer fell.
Tom Wilson stopped on a partial breakaway during his first quarter of work. By skating in the right wing, he pulled five holes while he was detached from his five holes but Andersen was ready for that.
Andrei Svechnikov beats Logan Thompson with a backhand but that’s the post.
Brent burns in the box for stirring Brandon Duhaime at 9:46 am from the first period.

Ovechkin has another chance on a set game via a playing, but is stopped by Andersen’s pad.
To the intermission: Well, it was the best period that the capital played in all this series. It is equal 0-0, however. The caps lead to shots 9 to 6 and have exceeded the Hurricanes at five against five 19 to 18 years. That said something!
2nd period
The washer fell.
Brent burns with a big blow on Alex Ovechkin sending the captain of the capital to the ice.

🚨 1-0 Carolina Hurricanes. Objective of the car: Andrei Svechnikov (6). Not assisted. Time: 12:34.
Svechnikov throws John Carlson after playing in the offensive zone, rushing first with a washer and easily marking near the net. Aho seemed to be intentionally losing the playing, putting the washer behind Dowd, giving Svechnikov a path to mark.
Alex Alexeyev at the box at 5:24 PM for hooking Jackson Blake, who was about to have a good chance near the net.
Cannes power play.
🚨 2-0 Carolina Hurricanes. Car objective: Jack Roslovic (1). Help: B. Burns (2), T. Hall (3) Time: 18:37.
Thompson with his body slightly off the post is beaten by Roslovic with a Vivaneau from the left circle. Caps led him unattended, more worried about canes players near the net. Bad objective for Thompson to abandon.
Jordan Staal at the Box for Trevor Van Riemsdyk at 7:15 p.m. However, it was PLD who stole TVR. Rod Brind-Amour becomes a ballist on the bench.
Power Play caps.
To the intermission: The canes lead 2-0 despite the capital that played solid during the first 32 minutes of the match. Carolina has now surpassed the caps from 17 to 15 and 43 to 27 to five against five attempts. The caps were exceeded from 25 to 8 to five in the second period only.
Washington will have 1:15 to play a power game to start the third.
