“Together, we have made unprecedented progress and enormous progress,” said Trump, adding that “the dawn of the new brilliant day” awaits the people from the Middle East.
“For the first time in a thousand years, the world will examine this region not as a place of troubles, conflicts, war and death but as a land of opportunity and hope,” he continues.
Trump continues by saying that his administration launched “the golden age of America” and, with the help of the inhabitants of the Middle East, “the golden age of the Middle East can proceed next to us”.
“We will work together, we will succeed together, win together and we will always be friends,” he said.
By finishing his speech, Trump thanks Mohammed Bin Salman – who receives a standing ovation – saying “We are with you all along”.
The president shakes hands with the crown prince on stage while the YMCA song moves through the auditorium.
