Before the start of Cassie Ventura’s counter-perspective, the judge and lawyers must solve a text message problem before the court.
Prosecutors have raised concerns about defense bringing text messages that refer to Ventura with sex with someone other than Sean “Diddy” Combs or an escort. They say that messages would be in violation of the parties’ agreement not to authorize this type of evidence in the trial.
Defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo said that his team wanted to show the jury’s conversations between Combs and Ventura which refers to infidelity and jealousy that use a more “vulgar” vocabulary. “This is the real way that people express awareness that there is cheating,” he said.
Judge Arun Subramanian asked the defense and the accusation to submit letters on the issue last night. He said they will go to 8:30 p.m. this morning before the jury arrived.
The testimony should start at 9:30 am he.
