European markets increased higher outdoors on Tuesday, reversing the course of a lost four -day sequence fed by global tariff tensions.
The Stoxx 600 regional index was around 1% higher shortly after the opening bell, with almost all the sector and all the main scholarships in positive territory.
The index finished the session on Monday at around 4.5% less, marking its lowest fence level since January 2024. Key regional indices, notably the FTSE 100 of the United Kingdom, the German Dax and the CAC 40 of France, all fenced are also highly lower.
The global stock markets have been shaken by the frequent updates concerning the Pricaire regime of American President Donald Trump in recent days when tensions between the United States and its business partners do not seem to be supported.
Speculation on a potential price break was quickly closed by the White House on Monday, while Trump threatened to make 50% of prices on China unless he has abandoned reprisals. Beijing last week imposed a rate of 34% on American products in response to Trump announcing his full list of so-called reciprocal rates.
Overnight, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that it “resolutely opposed” to “Trump’s threat to include prices and promised to take off to protect his own rights and interests.
The markets in Asia-Pacific were however far higher on Tuesday, bouncing the losses of the previous session.
Also on Monday, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the EU had offered Trump a “zero price” agreement for industrial goods and reiterated that the block wanted to negotiate but was also ready to impose countermeasures.
Trump quickly rejected the agreement.
The US stock contracts were higher after the S&P 500 extended its losses for a third day on Monday in another volatile negotiation session at Wall Street.
