LIVE RESULTS Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: Ukrainian stuns the world by dominating Gypsy King to become undisputed champion – updates and reactions

Fury vs. Usyk – Day 8

Usyk feeling he has to offer something different gets a second wind with a quick assault early in the round.

He keeps Fury in the corner before a quick combination to the head momentarily stuns the WBC king.

Usyk fails to capitalize though and shows some frustration as he walks away and shows the shorts. Again, nothing from the referee.

Fury vs. Usyk – Day 7

In the second half of an exciting fight, Fury figured out how to take down the man in front of him.

A left, a right and another uppercut find their mark and the Gypsy King then wraps Usyk to put all his weight on the Cat’s shoulders.

Usyk is known for his fight IQ and he needs to quickly find a way to adjust his strategy here because it is getting away from him.

He dials back the threat he poses with a left jab near the bell, but he’s too tired to capitalize on his advantage.

Fury vs. Usyk – Day 6

Another solid round from the WBC champion as Fury rocks Usyk with a right hook to the body.

The Brit intervenes and lands an uppercut to put his rival on the ropes.

Usyk has to play defense as he allows Fury to take control of the center and stay out of range to regain his composure.

The Ukrainian starts to bleed from the nose and Fury enjoys the progress of this fight.

He sticks his tongue out at the crowd as the bell rings.

Fury vs. Usyk – Day 5

Good work from the Gypsy King as he lands a left hook to the body and follows it with a sweet uppercut.

Usyk may have just been slightly winded by this blow and Fury apparently senses it as he steps onto the front foot for the first time.

The Cat slows his relentless pressure to catch his breath then complains that Fury landed low.

But referee Mark Nelson allows the action to continue.

Usyk made marginal gains in the first few rounds, but the last two seemed to indicate Fury asserted his control.

Fury vs. Usyk – Round 4

A sense of urgency from Usyk keeps the pressure on Fury, as a good combination keeps him constantly moving.

The Gypsy King responds with a right jab which he follows with a left to catch Cat on the chin.

This combination brings out Fury’s vintage smile with his hands briefly behind his back.

Usyk finds a way through with a left over the top – looking to see if he can open that eye that Fury badly cut in February.

More of the same as the bell rings to signal the end of the fourth, the volume of punches coming from Usyk but Fury having more success.

Fury vs. Usyk – Day 3

Much has been made about Usyk’s perceived weakness to the body before this fight, but he has held up to everything Fury has thrown at him thus far.

In response to the end of the second round, the Cat runs out to try to regain his previous momentum.

However, Fury has settled into a natural groove on the outside and is leading with his jab.

An approach much closer to vintage Fury than the aggressive style he adopted for his second and third fights with Wilder and the crossover event against Ngannou.

Usyk manages to close the distance to the bell and the Brit responds by wrapping the pair in a clinch.

Usyk complains that Fury caught him with a blow to the back of the head as the two separated.
